Plant History - The Olympus Gas Turbine generating set was installed at a power station in the UK in 1978 and was operated for standby power generation and synchronous compensation / voltage control. In 1997 the units became surplus to the requirements of the UK power system and was decommissioned and put into storage. Total operating hours since new was advised by the operator as follows :
Engine 1 - 1096 Hours - 1373 Starts.
Engine 2 - 1076 Hours - 1076 Starts.
Engine 3 - 1141 Hours - 1091 Starts.
Engine 4 - 1145 Hours - 1438 Starts.
